success stories

My name is Alisha Akhter

and I grew up in the Mohammadpur Bihari Camp, where opportunities seemed scarce. My dream of becoming a nurse felt impossible until I was introduced to the Council of Minority’s Fellowship Program. With their support, I was able to pursue my nursing education, something I never thought was possible.

Today, I am a nurse, helping others in my community while empowering myself. The fellowship didn’t just give me an education; it gave me the chance to change my life and serve those around me. Now, I hope to inspire others to believe that with the right support, anything is possible
